Teaching Philosophy

One of the things that make me a successful instructor is my ability to keep learning simple and fun. Isn't that what golf is supposed to be? Another reason is communication. Without it you can't succeed. But no matter how knowledgeable you are, students won't learn if they don't know what you are talking about.

I pride myself in teaching my students how to get better by understanding their mistakes and what to do to correct them. I want my students to ask questions, lots of them. To me, that is a sign that we are communicating and learning. If you are making the same mistake continually, I want you to know why you make it and what to do to correct it. That way you can self-correct a problem when I am not there. Isn't that the ultimate goal?

As for the dynamics of the swing, I am a big believer in the impact position and solid fundamentals. They are the building blocks to a repeatable, efficient swing that will allow you to hit solid golf shots. Fundamentals are the part of the game that most golfers ignore. Improving your grip, stance, alignment and ball position will drastically improve your overall game. Those fundamentals, coupled with good tempo, timing and rhythm are all you need to be a very good golfer.

I would enjoy the opportunity to help you achieve your goals as a golfer and to make the game more fun for you to play. Please contact me and let's get started.
